Ready for your own podcast
You are really going to record, in a professional podcast studio.
Learn how to prepare yourself well for recording and how to avoid the mistakes that almost every beginner makes. At the end of the day, you will have a developed concept and know exactly what to do next.
For whom
For entrepreneurs and marketers who want to use podcasts for their business, and for anyone who wants to start their own. If you already have a podcast, you can also benefit from it, because a part of the group comes to improve their skills. You don’t need any experience: most of them have never sat behind a microphone before. This is what you’ll learn that day.
Reach, trust, and authority. What is realistic for what effort, and where podcast wins over other channels.
For marketing, sales, recruitment or internal use. Which form fits which purpose and how often you need to reach out to achieve an effect.
From the topic and perspective to the written script. And why the first thirty seconds determine whether someone will continue to listen.
Microphone usage, camera handling, and interview techniques. You record your own episode and immediately see where it could be improved.

Director & Technical Specialist
For years, Tom worked as a director for video & podcast productions, where he supervised hundreds of recordings of people standing in front of a camera for the first time. His passion and knowledge of technology led to the world’s first autonomous podcast studio: the Record Room. The first studio where no technician is needed – and also the home of this training.
Always wondered what kind of equipment you need for your own recordings?
Tom is happy to help you get started.

Questions
And you can always ask for that. Feel free to call or email us, and we’ll discuss it further.
For entrepreneurs and marketers who want to use podcasts for their business, and for anyone who wants to start one themselves. Do you already record episodes? Then you’re in good hands, because some of the group are there to improve themselves. Experience is not necessary at all: a large proportion of them have never even sat behind a microphone before.
Yes. Some of the group have already made episodes and want to improve their skills. You learn to structure your story more tightly and work with a script without it sounding rehearsed. Kevin listens to your recording and tells you exactly where listeners get off.
Yes, but you won't need it that day. The training takes place in the autonomous studio at Record Room, where no technical knowledge is required: you just press record and the studio does the rest. Are you going to record yourself afterwards? Then Tom will advise you on which microphones, cameras, and software are best suited to your plans.
Yes. In fact, that’s a great starting point. A large part of the day is about what podcasting can mean and how to come up with a topic.
Your recordings are in your email after the event. Edited, as is always the case here.
Sure, and that often works well. Sign up both of you, and we'll keep the seats open.
Up to fourteen days in advance, it's free. After that, we'll move you on to the next edition.
With the ferry from Amsterdam Central Station, you can get to the door in five minutes. If you come by car, the parking garage of the A'DAM Tower is located at Overhoeksplein 1, literally next to the building. Booking online in advance saves a lot of money. Parking on the street is only allowed for two hours, so that won't be enough for a whole day.
